The Nike Air Max 1 ’87 Premium ‘University of Oregon’ PE takes cues from different duck species found in the Pacific Northwest. The upper mixes light brown leather overlays with a tan suede mudguard and leopard-print panels. “Once A Duck” and “Always A Duck” are included on the left and right heel, respectively, while iridescent touches embellish the collar. The Nike logo and a Ducks of a Feather callout land on the each suede tongue tag. A dark blue “DOAF” motto is included on the insoles, recreating the look of ripples on water. A foam midsole packs an Air heel unit, anchored by a rubber outsole.
